I am a woman in my 20s living in the United States with PCOS. I was diagnosed at age 23 while trying to conceive my first child. While PCOS does affect my life in other ways, I am primarily concerned with the way it impedes my fertility!
I am in a monogamous heterosexual relationship. As far as growing our family is concerned, we wish for our own biological children, and have decided against using donor gametes or embryos, or surrogacy. We are open to the idea of foster parenting and adoption, but as yet have not explored these options for growing our family.
Thanks to fertility treatments, and most importantly thanks to God, I have been able to conceive and carry two pregnancies to full term. We are absolutely smitten with our children and are hopeful that we will have success in this manner in the future, as well.
